Introduction
220 West Fair Oaks was a collaboration with Homes by Estate, a local interior design firm.  All photos by CraigMac Visuals; the plan graphic is by Work5hop.

The plan below shows the renovations and additions to the home.  The addition, with its numerous large windows and tall ceilings, was key in transforming the house from a series of small, dark spaces into an open and airy place.
1
New family room with cathedral ceilings and large windows opening onto back yard and deck.
2
New kitchen, half within the footprint of the old house and half within the new addition.  The kitchen opens directly onto the family room.
3
Renovated dining room, with original tile.  Kitchen through the opening to the right and playroom/office to the left.
4
Renovated living room, again with original tile.  The clean lines and cathedral ceilings of this space helped inspire the design of the addition, which brings together the new and existing into a seamless whole.
5
Building exterior with new plaster and restored red tile roof.
6
Patio with fireplace.
