This new community college campus was designed around a series of courts and plazas, with a campus green and lake at its center. The design team took the project all the way from the initial conceptual design of the master plan, through design and construction of the facilities themselves, over a period of five years. One of the very few greenfield community college campuses built in Texas in recent years, Northeast Lakeview College has received awards for the design and construction of the facilities as well as how the campus supports academic programs.

 

Buildings were completed by both Overland Partners Architects and Ford, Powell & Carson (FPC), with overall project management and sitework by FPC. Jay Louden oversaw the design and production efforts of the overall design team and also served as project architect for the Facilities Building and campus sitework (including canopies, plazas, an observatory, bridges, and parking lots).
