Bandera Road Corridor Plan
San Antonio, TX
The Bandera Road Corridor links northwest San Antonio and Leon Valley with downtown San Antonio and connects many crosstown routes with the Medical Center and the city center. The cities of San Antonio and Leon Valley imagine a sustainable, attractive and complete corridor which accommodates multiple modes of transportation to appeal to residents, visitors, businesses, and investors. This corridor plan will guide public and private development to lay the foundation for a robust local economy anchored by new construction and redevelopment.

Our team studied multiple components of the corridor: land use, visual characteristics, transportation, public transit, and the pedestrian environment.  We also performed market analysis for existing conditions and benchmarked those conditions against peer regional and programmatic corridors. The review provided an understanding of the economic, investment, and policy trends that define the real estate conditions in the corridor and region.   The work is supported by a robust public involvement plan and is being completed in coordination with a TxDOT project studying the corridor right-of-way and potential solutions to ongoing congestion issues.

Work5hop is leading a consultant team which includes Page, HR&A, Ximenes & Associates, and Nelson\Nygaard.
